We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a PerDiem-Pharmacist in the Pharmacy Department. To qualify a Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy is required, advanced degree in Pharmacy related field or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree preferred. Current New York State Pharmacist License required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and preparing medication for dispensing to patients. and prepares medication for dispensing to patients. Advises practitioners regarding drug selection and therapy, reviews medication storage throughout the institution and participates in educational activities. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Attendance and Additional Performance Standards.
- Maintains awareness regarding Security of the Pharmacy.
- Conducts Nursing Station inspection of controlled drugs.
- Trains and monitors Pharmacy Technicians.
- Documents and maintains pharmaceutical records.
- Provides drug information and consultation.
- Dispenses medications.
- Responsible for filling, checking, compounding prescriptions and sterile product preparation.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
