Visit www.sclhealthsystem.org Description The Manager of Payroll Systems is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining payroll and timekeeping technical solutions and reporting for a large, centralized payroll function. Works collaboratively with the Manager of Payroll Operations to plan and execute required installations, updates and reports necessary for payroll operations. Works collaboratively with the Manager of HRIS on system implementations and upgrades. Manages two Payroll Analysts. Establishes audit systems for detecting errors and assuring that managers and associates comply with policies. Detailed knowledge of with payroll concepts, practices, systems and procedures. A wide degree of critical thinking and problem-solving expertise is required, and latitude is expected. Leads the Payroll Systems teams in the design, implementation, testing and maintenance of payroll system. Collaborate with HPCO team to ensure that system changes that impact payroll and timekeeping systems are implemented correctly. Ensures payroll and timekeeping systems function appropriately by making timely and accurate updates to key payroll systems and routines as needed. Assists the Payroll Operations team in the biweekly and ad hoc payroll processing by creating reports, processing system uploads and troubleshooting system errors and out-of-balance conditions. Works with the Manager of HRIS to plan, build and modify tables within Lawson, and test any changes to the payroll pieces of Lawson that impact payroll systems and processes. Works with the payroll processing/tax vendor to research and resolve reporting and balancing issues to ensure payroll tax returns are filed as needed. Creates and prepares biweekly, quarterly and annual audit reports to detect errors and out-of-balance conditions for payments, taxes, benefits, deductions in arrears, time accrual, etc. and identifies necessary corrections. Critically reviews and analyzes payroll and timekeeping systems and processes and collaborates with the Manager of Payroll Operations to Implement changes leading to best practice. Provides daily management, supervision, mentoring and training of Payroll Analysts. This position is located in Broomfield, CO. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree Required Equivalent years of experience in HR Payroll Systems may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year. Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred. Experience: Eight+ years payroll systems experience, including implementing and maintaining complex payroll and timekeeping systems required. Experience with Lawson HR Payroll and Kronos timekeeping systems preferred.
