In addition to the outcome expectations of all Centura Health senior executives, the CEO is expected to:
A. Lead the development and realization of a vision, strategies and tactics for Centura Health-Mercy Regional Medical Center, consistent with the organization’s overall strategic plan. The vision, strategies, and tactics will reflect a systematic effort to serve the full continuum of health needs for the patients served.
B. Foster seamless continuity and integration of care systems. The CEO is expected to establish clear subject matter expertise and to use that expertise to influence other Centura Health leaders to work together to create this seamless continuity and integration.
C. Position Centura Health-Mercy Regional Medical Center as a progressive organization recognized for its distinctive competencies in serving the full continuum of health needs.
D. Foster partnerships and alliances with other organizations, agencies, councils, etc. to link Centura Health with other community assets.
E. Become a recognized leader and advocate to positively impact public policy; federal, state and local legislation and regulations; and Centura Health policies and practices that impact the health of the communities we serve.
F. Establish the requisite credibility and acceptance to serve as a successful coach and consultant to the leaders and associates of Mercy Regional Medical Center and its related entities.
G. Through expansion efforts, this position will have the potential to evolve into a group level role with the addition of smaller hospitals grouped in this operating group in the future. The hospital CEOs of the smaller hospitals will report into this position as that growth occurs. In addition, will have oversight of the new MRMC Hospice House.
- Masters Degree in health care administration, business, or an equivalent field, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
B. Minimum of 10 years experience in leading comprehensive acute care setting or hospital organization and strong ambulatory/physician alignment experience, with progressive responsibilities at the senior leadership level.
C. Experience in successfully integrating services within a large, complex health system while navigating the post ACA environment, particularly in a strategic focus on the local landscape partnerships in a market where competition is encroaching.
D. Success in producing exemplary accomplishments in an environment of limited resources.
E. Demonstrated ability and leadership in change management.
