The Global Technology & Operations Business Control Specialist will also have responsibility for identifying risks which could affect operations within the Bank, driving the capabilities required to implement effective and consistent mitigation efforts within Anti Money Laundering (AML). Serves as a trusted advisor to the team, delivers outstanding results and client satisfaction regarding risks. The role requires the individual to be an analytic, decisive, results-oriented leader with technical and risk process management skills.
Develops deeper knowledge of business being supported and continuity as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC)
Manages overall relationship with Core Function team to broaden influence and knowledge share, and assist in influencing decision making
Acts as the 'quarterback' for all risk deliverables and activities ensuring appropriate escalation which includes partnering with risk partners (Compliance, Audit, Ops Risk) to ensure comprehensive risk oversight and perspective
Provide issues management oversight to include QC of issues
Oversee audits and regulatory exams impacting AML, coordinating AML deliverables
Ensures that knowledge capital is communicated and leveraged across the organization
Drives the overall efficiency and effectiveness of risk deliverables to meet expected outcomes
Provides guidance in the formulation and implementation of risk management policies, procedures and standards
Assist with coordination of input into Key Risk Routines
Ensure remediation controls to close gaps are complete and remediation plans are synchronized across Tools (i.e. STORM, eIMS)
Accountable for Audit & regulatory engagement and outcomes within AML
Consistently manages expectations, ensures delivery of the highest quality service and accuracy; solicits and acts upon feedback expeditiously
5+ years experience with Risk Management, risk framework and/or Compliance
Must have strong relationship management skills with the desire and ability to drive risk and operational management.
Solid organizational and excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with 5+ years presentation/writing skills.
Ability to accurately and concisely explain and present risk and facilitate meetings with senior management
Ability to multi-task, plan and function in a self-directed environment.
Must be able to work in a matrixed organization as well as manage interactions as all levels.
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
