Advertised Summary Job Description: This is a position in a fast-paced, clinical/diagnostic laboratory that offers rapidly expanding services to our clients. The individual will be responsible for handling documents and specimen containers (containing blood, tissue, cassettes of paraffin embedded material, slides, etc.), accessioning/data entry into the laboratory information system, phone calls, filing and administrative support, tracking inventory and ordering of supplies
General Minimum Qualifications: Two years of college or completion of secretarial school or equivalent business experience plus a minimum of one to two years related experience.
Bachelor's degree desirable.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: - Excellent communication skills are essential. - Ability to type and use computers in an efficient manner. - Must be able to accurately follow instructions. - Must be detail-oriented, accurate, efficient, capable of multitasking, and able to function in a fast-paced environment, meeting all deadlines. - Must be able to prioritize activities according to laboratory goals.
Preferred Qualifications: - Applicants with demonstrable/proven ability; able to function in a fast-paced environment, with strict deadlines will be given preference. - The candidate should accurately perform all tasks under minimal supervision. - Must demonstrate excellent communication skills.
