THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AND BIOCHEMISTRY within the Division of Physical Sciences at UC San Diego seeks to establish a pool of outstanding instructors for undergraduate courses in all areas of chemistry. Pending budgetary approval, one or more non tenure-track lectureships may become available for the 2017-18 academic year. All areas of chemistry and biochemistry will be considered. A PhD in Chemistry or related field and teaching experience, preferably in both lecture- and laboratory-based settings, are required. (PhD candidates may apply; however, the PhD must be awarded before any offer of employment will be made.) Research experience, two supportive letters of references, strong record of mentorship, and a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion are highly desirable.
The 9-month salary and level of appointment are based on qualifications and UC pay scale. Applications received by March 31, 2017 will be given priority consideration.
