Hunter College is a senior college in the City University of New York.Duties: Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.QUALIFICATIONSA PhD in mathematics or applied mathematics is required. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.The position requires a demonstrated commitment to strong research and strong undergraduate and graduate teaching skills. For those candidates eligible for a senior position, an interest and willingness to serve as Department Chair at some point in the future is a plus. The department offers undergraduate degrees in mathematics and statistics and masters degrees in mathematics, statistics and applied mathematics.
