Hood College invites applications for a full-time Coordinator of Study Abroad & International Student Programs. The Coordinator serves as a key member of the Academic Affairs team. In addition to spearheading and directing all international study programs, the Coordinator oversees all pre-departure preparation for students and faculty studying/researching abroad and is responsible for creating partnerships with campuses in other countries and serving as the primary contact for all study abroad programs. The Coordinator also advises international students regarding immigration matters. Minimum qualifications for the position are a Bachelor’s degree, 2-4 years’ experience in collegiate academic Study Abroad and direct study abroad experience required; Masters in a relevant field of study and fluency in one or more languages other than English is preferred. Specific skills and experiences include: direct experience advising college students; knowledge and experience with academic program administration including implementation, assessment and risk management; excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with strong attention to detail; ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments and consistencies.
