| Conway Children’s Clinic (Conway, Arkansas) |
• 3 board-certified pediatricians (seeking a fourth) • On call: one night each week; one weekend every 9-10 weeks • 2 clinic locations including one certified rural health clinic
Conway’s first medical practice dedicated to the care of children was established in 1987 and has been growing with Conway and the surrounding areas for 29 years. With offices in Conway and Greenbrier, Arkansas, our clinics are staffed at this time by three pediatricians and five advanced practice nurses. Our close proximity to Little Rock allows convenient access to subspecialty care at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, including transport of sick neonates and other critically ill children. We have excellent after-hours telephone coverage provided by nursing staff at Arkansas Children’s Hospital and emergency department coverage provided by the medical staff at Conway Regional Medical Center.
Our hospital work consists primarily of nursery staffing with one pediatrician from our group covering nursery duties each day. Conway Regional has a modern mother-baby unit and Level II nursery and an outstanding Ob-Gyn staff. We have a nursery alliance with Arkansas Children’s Hospital providing support and education for our physicians and nurses on an ongoing basis. On occasion we see patients in our emergency department or admit and follow patients in our inpatient unit. On weekends we rotate call duties with members of two other local pediatrics groups.
Our clinic is independently owned and operated by our pediatricians. New physicians are encouraged to move quickly (one year) toward partnership in owning and managing the clinic. All of the physicians are members of our hospital PHO (physician hospital organization) that negotiates our insurance contracts and manages some of our employee benefits including health insurance.
Conway is growing rapidly, more than doubling in population in the last 15 years to its current population of over 60,000. Conway is home to 3 colleges and universities as well as industries such as Acxiom (data collection) and other tech companies that attract young families to our area. We have excellent public schools and many youth activities are offered; we have a beautiful and truly revitalized downtown with numerous shopping, dining and nightlife opportunities. Little Rock is just 20 minutes to the southeast on I-40 and we are surrounded in every other direction by abundant opportunities to enjoy the beauty of The Natural State.
We look forward to hearing from any pediatric resident or practicing pediatrician interested in learning more about our group. Please contact Amy Irby by phone 501-327-6000, ext 319 or email firstname.lastname@example.org; or Dr. Pebble Sutherland by phone 501-733-6713 or email email@example.com.
