This position oversees the internal cross community relations efforts for the Harvard innovation labs ecosystem which includes building and bridging relationships with the members of the Venture Incubation Program community at all 3 labs; running the town hall meetings, creating community building activities geared to engage students and alumni collaboration while leading the sales process for the launch lab/Life Lab. The sales process includes; prospecting teams from initial tour to signing agreement through onboarding activities. Building brand awareness with all Harvard alumni offices on campus as well as external alumni outreach to assure the launch and life labs maintains high occupancies with high performing startups as well as assurance there is a high level of satisfaction amongst tenants.
Job Mission: Drive constant demand and deep engagement with and within the Harvard Launch Lab and Harvard Life Lab, and across the Harvard Innovation Labs ecosystem
Build out the Life Lab and Launch Lab communities while bridging the VIP program of the i-lab with a particular focus on:
driving the occupancy of both labs to achieve performance measures
conduct ongoing and systematic 1:1 in person outreach to key individuals in the Harvard infrastructure that can impact awareness of the Labs and that generate qualified venture teams as applicants
working with Centralized Marketing to create an annual and ongoing marketing plan to increase awareness and drive demand for both labs

working with Centralized Marketing to create Launch Lab and Life Lab alumni communications campaigns and programs
evolving the Launch Lab and Life Lab brand standards to convey optimal value and relevant differentiation while ensuring strategic synergy with the i-lab and the overall Harvard Innovation Labs ecosystem
developing and implementing 1:1 outreach plans to key Harvard stakeholders at the Harvard Alumni Associations as well as all alumni offices that are school specific such as the medical school, law school, business School
working with Innovation Labs staff to build supportive database systems and performance dashboards, including survey and data gathering mechanisms
working with the Community Relations coordinators and entire Innovation Labs staff to build meaningful community within and across the labs
effective and compelling onboarding protocols
Evolving the brand experience (visuals, information architecture, service offerings, etc.)
creating means and mechanisms for them to connect both inside and outside the labs
looking for synergistic business opportunities across the teams
Other Tasks and Accountabilities:
Work with Centralized Programming to:
develop topic and frequency appropriate events that generate high NPS scores
Actively monitor member satisfaction via NPS and providing leadership with monthly reports of satisfaction, programming satisfaction, and pipeline performance.
Develop and implement communications to all members via weekly newsletters and other TBD mechanisms – create support collateral as needed working with Centralized Marketing
Work with Centralized Marketing and Centralized Operations regarding opportunities to improve Launch Lab and Life Lab member experiences (Operations will provide all services in support of stocking, finance, and physical plant).
Serve as the primary content voice for Launch Lab and Life Lab social media
Actively participate in the development of the Harvard Innovation Labs web and digital presence in general and the Launch Lab and Life Lab efforts in particular
Actively mentor Launch Lab and Life Lab Community Relations coordinators
Serving as a backup operations person for Launch Lab and Life Lab issues should Centralized Operations not be able to address specific member issues quickly enough

About the Harvard Innovation Labs: The Harvard Innovation Labs is a unique collaboration and education space designed to foster entrepreneurship and innovation across Harvard University. The Harvard innovation labs consists of 3 lab facilities adjacent to each other as follows:
I-lab which is a "one Harvard" education collaborative open to any Harvard student from any Harvard school with a startup idea at any stage. Every semester, students from all schools can apply to participate in the venture incubation program (VIP), a 12 week integrated program that combines mentoring, workshops and community to help their start up team move their ideas further faster. Post-graduation teams can apply to move into the launch lab to continue working on their startups.
Launch Lab is a "ONE Harvard" inspired curated co-working space adjacent to the i-lab and Life Lab, designed and resourced to support high potential Harvard Alumni startup ventures who want to continue in the VIP program. This 8,500 square foot co-working space has 140 work stations housing approximately 30 Harvard alumni venture teams which is affordable and flexible offering 8 conference spaces, 6 phone rooms, 2 kitchens and lounge space. The Launch Lab teams can also gain access to the i-lab's programming, network of faculty, mentors, advisors and investors.
The Pagliuca Harvard Life Lab is a shared laboratory space for high-potential life sciences and biotech startups founded by Harvard faculty, alumni, students, and postdoctoral scholars. The 15,000-square-foot facility has 36 lab work benches and 50 co-working spaces, conference rooms and kitchen adjacent to the i-lab and Launch lab is a fully-equipped and permitted laboratory and office space for early-stage companies.
