The primary focus of the Wealth Adviser role is to engage new and existing clients in order to discuss their financial situation, identify and meet their strategic advice needs, and implement appropriate solutions. This role requires a client-focused, self motivated professional to establish a rapport with clients, drive a needs-based discussion, and expand the client's relationship with Macquarie. There is also the requirement to maintain technical knowledge to a high standard and keep up to date on legislation changes. The Wealth Adviser is provided access to leading client and market intelligence and tools in order to provide tailored quality advice.
Key day to day responsibilities
effectively educate prospects about the capabilities of Macquarie via a discussion regarding the Macquarie value proposition
identify client needs via in-depth discussion in order to meet those needs or refer the client to an appropriate specialist
working in a strong team environment with collaborative advice approaches and cross referral activity
provision of sound strategic and transactional advice to clients within the Australian regulatory context
proactive approach to the provision of client-centric advice
operate within the Macquarie risk management framework
achieve or exceed client satisfaction measures
proven track record of generating leads and referrals
meet revenue targets and other strategic KPIs (to be confirmed)
To be successful as a Financial Adviser for Macquarie Private Wealth, you will be able to demonstrate:
degree qualifications and Diploma in Financial Planning
RG 146 compliant / maintenance of diverse and relevant CPD hours
ability to bring a book across OR ability to grow a book within the first 12 months
Strong compliance record
strong sales and business development skills
excellent communication skills and the ability to synthesize complex financial and investment information
ability to navigate through financial planning software (experience with xplan preferred)
proven client and workflow management skills
strong Time Management skills giving you an ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities
