| The Practice: Briargate Boulevard Animal Hospital operates with the fundamental philosophy that pet owners are integral members of the care team and that veterinary visits should be as low-stress as possible for both patients and clients. We take time to build rapport and relationships with our clients and to know their stories, and we are implementing Fear Free principles to reduce our patients’ fear, stress and anxiety to the maximum extent possible. Our practice boasts digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory and a spacious surgery suite, but our most valuable asset is our team – each and every member of our staff is dedicated, motivated and loves what they do! We enjoy excellent working relationships with veterinary specialists in the local community (including internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, neurology, dentistry, ophthalmology, dermatology, radiology and rehabilitation) and refer all after-hours care needs to nearby veterinary emergency hospitals. Modern IT infrastructure and AviMark software allow us to operate as a paper-light hospital. We are planning renovations to better leverage our 4300 square feet of space and incorporate Fear-Free principles into the hospital environment. |
The Ideal Candidate: Our new doctor must enjoy building client relationships and recognize the value of minimizing patient fear, anxiety and stress during veterinary visits. Fear-Free Professional certification or the willingness to obtain this certification is required. The successful candidate will always recommend gold standard care, yet be willing to work within clients’ individual circumstances to maximize the pet’s well-being. It is crucial to respect the varied opinions of owners and to educate owners without argument or judgement. Our new doctor must be confident, easy-going and able to contribute to a positive and friendly work environment. At least two years of experience and the ability to perform routine soft tissue and dental surgery round out the profile of our ideal candidate.
The Benefits: We offer negotiable pro-sal or production-based compensation, health/vision/dental insurance, paid time off, paid CE, liability insurance, state and DEA license fees, association dues (national, state and local), and zero after-hours or emergency on-call duty.
