The Oviedo lab is seeking a postdoctoral fellow or qualified research technician to study cortical mechanisms of auditory function in mice. Our goal is to reveal functional circuit-motifs in the auditory cortex and determine their significance in animal communication. An NSF career award funded position is available immediately to study mechanisms of auditory specializations using in vitro, in vivo, and 3D c-fos volume imaging techniques.
Experience in electrophysiology is required, and MATLAB programming is desirable. Any talented candidate will be considered. Our lab is in the brand new state of the art Center for Discovery and Innovation at CCNY on scenic Hamilton heights in Manhattan.
