Posting Summary: The Assistant Director for Athletic Financial Aid is a member of the Financial Aid Administrative staff and reports to the Senior Associate Director of Financial Aid. This position is specifically responsible for the administration of activities that provide comprehensive and quality financial aid and student account counseling services to undergraduate and graduate student athletes, their parents and outside organizations, and is responsible for ensuring compliance with NCAA, ACC and Department of Education financial aid regulations. As a result, it also assists in coordinating and administering student financial aid programs, and evaluates, interprets and/or implements financial aid policies, procedures and regulations. The position provides primary, in-person customer service to student athletes and coaches.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of federal financial aid processes and regulations.
Ability to independently handle multiple projects simultaneously, while providing excellent customer service.
Experience in dealing with outside organizations similar in scope to the Department of Education and the NCAA, and interpreting complex regulations to ensure compliance.
Ability to analyze detailed financial information, communicate clearly under stress and short deadlines and provide excellent customer service under difficult situations.
