The University of Washington's Integrated Service Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Training and Communications Specialist to play a key role in providing unified human resources and payroll customer support to employees throughout the institution.
This role will be responsible for creating and delivering training materials to internal ISC staff and external end-users. The effectiveness of Workday training content and delivery will have a profound impact on the University's ability to ensure the integrity of HCM data and transactional outcomes.
Create and Deliver Training Content
Support development and execution of ISC training activities, including frameworks for training internal team members and external Workday users/stakeholders
Coordinate across ISC Tiers 1, 2 and 3 to understand Workday, ServiceNow and other supporting processes and identify training requirements
Coordinate with designated stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify information gaps and calibrate appropriate training content
Develop timely and accurate training content for distribution to ISC team members and extended end-users
Conduct training sessions with external end-users and internal ISC team members as required
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training delivery over time and incorporate improvements accordingly
Assist in driving cross-training activities across the ISC, coordinating with team leadership to ensure that training promotes end-to-end insight across domain areas and drives continuity
ISC Services Support
Support ISC knowledge management processes, including identification and verification of additions/changes to the working repository of knowledge content
Support ISC communication of major activities, enhancements/updates and known issues
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, teaching, Marketing, Communications, Advertising or a related field with a minimum of two to three years of applicable experience
Experience in the learning and development, teaching, or training domains
Experience in a training specialist role, knowledgeable regarding training methodologies, best practices, and trends
Experience with eLearning tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia
Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS)
Experience communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders, including customers and key process stakeholders
Experience using a proactive continual service improvement/iterative approach to meet HR and Payroll process design requirements, assimilating stakeholder feedback and refining operational frameworks on an ongoing basis
Experience with complex scheduling and calendaring
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration. Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, teaching, Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related areas
Experience working in a shared services environment
Working experience designing, executing and/or managing relevant HR/P training at the University of Washington or in a comparable higher education environment
