The University of W isconsin-La Crosse invites applicants for a full time University Services Associate II position in the College of Liberal Studies-Academic Services Office. Under the direction of the College Academic Services Director, this position provides administrative, reception, and general office support. Duties include updating student records in the PeopleSoft Student Information System (W INGS); scheduling appointments for the academic services staff; assisting students with the completion of a variety of forms; answering general questions; preparing reports; notifying students of academic standing changes.
Required qualifications include a high school diploma; knowledge and experience with Microsoft Outlook, W ord, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office 365 applications; Adobe Acrobat Pro; effective oral and written communication skills; effective organizational and time management skills; attention to detail and ability to work effectively with frequent interruptions; ability to maintain confidentiality of student academic information; ability to coordinate projects, multitask, and work independently to meet the demands of the position; ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff and the general public across multiple levels of the organization.
Preferred qualifications include experience working with a PeopleSoft Student Information System; experience working in a college/university environment; associate degree; ability and willingness to maintain and enhance professional competencies by participating in professional development workshops and training sessions.
