| The Accounts Representative will transact, coordinate, monitor and provide daily financial and business functions for all accounts in a large academic department. Compile complex reports and financial projections for administrators and faculty. Execute all cost sharing and effort reporting. Review all payroll activity. Track salaries of faculty, staff, teaching assistants and graders relative to departmental budget plan using KFS and Workday. Initiate, organize and process payroll, accounting and purchasing activity. Provide monthly analysis of funds by source and review with Director of Administration and Administrative Associate. Assist Director with budget planning and execute year-end closing. |
This is a benefits eligible ongoing, part-time position at 25 hours/week.
Formal training beyond a HS Diploma of 1 to 2 years, 2 years college coursework, or Associates Degree; more than 2 years and less than 4 years' experience or equivalent combination. Strong computer skills required including Excel and Microsoft Word. Familiarity with Cornell accounting system, Kuali, WebFin, OBIEE, P/card Imaging, E-shop, Workday, Kronos. Ability to work independently in busy environment, exercise a high level of concentration, function effectively in team setting. Complete multiple tasks involving high degree of complexity & confidentiality, strong attention to detail & accuracy, exercise good judgment & organize priorities. Provide excellent customer service, strong interpersonal & communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Associates Degree or equivalent education; more than 4 years administrative/accounting experience or equivalent combination. University Accounting Certification.
