This position will provide clinical support as well advance the teaching and research mission of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Division, with a primary focus on Outpatient Services.
Provide teaching service to learners, including medical students, interns and residents
Use contemporary adult learning methods to promote evidence-based practice
Demonstrate effective teaching skills and continually develop as a teacher for learners at all levels
Complete required evaluations of learners in a timely manner – including but not limited to written and verbal feedback
Participate in other learning activities such as foundations of clinical medicine, morning report, core conference, and other formal educational programs for undergraduate and post-graduate learners.
Work with institutional staff and administration to attain the strategic objectives of VCU Medical Center, including patient safety, patient and other customer satisfaction, maintenance and enhancement of public perception, and fiscal health.
Serves on institutional committees, study sections, review groups, as a journal editor, or editorial boards
3.Clinical (90) Will provide exemplary care in the areas of Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. Will provide care on outpatient and consult services. Will provide care on inpatient services on the MRICU.
The successful candidate must have comprehensive training in Pulmonary Disease care and management as well as Critical Care Medicine
Must be board Certified or Eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
