This position will support undergraduate laboratory instruction in Organic Chemistry. The position addresses issues in meeting student demand in critical bottleneck courses in VCU's STEM major curricula.
The position will provide teaching in the area of Organic Chemistry lab. The position will have a workload with approximately 90% teaching and 10% service. Service will be in the area of department/college committee work and undergraduate advising. Potential for hiring at the Assistant Professor rank depending on experience.
PhD in Chemistry, preferably in an area related to organic chemistry. Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
Teaching experience, particularly in large classes, is preferred.
