The Senior Program Coordinator position in the Office of the Registrar at Rutgers University–Camden manages and coordinates data, information, and systems critical to describing and maintaining academic curriculum, policies, and procedures; tracks progress toward degree completion; and supports the degree certification process. Reporting to the Registrar, the Senior Program Coordinator oversees the day-to-day administration of Degree Navigator (the university degree audit system) and Catalog Navigator (the university catalog system), maintains degree requirements for academic programs, and serves as liaison to academic departments, deans, and administrative offices. The Senior Program Coordinator verifies that all academic content is accurate and consistent across all information platforms on the campus (i.e., Degree Navigator and Catalog Navigator), including but not limited to course titles, course numbering, descriptions, and pre- and co-requisites, general and departmental academic requirements, and academic and administrative policies and procedures. The Senior Program Coordinator collaborates with academic departments, deans and administrative offices (i.e., academic advising offices and the Office of New Student Programs) to gather catalog content for all sections of the campus catalogs. This position will be responsible for editing and verifying the accuracy of catalog information utilizing a web-based application for publication, and maintain and update catalogs using information provided by the academic departments and administrative offices. The Senior Program Coordinator must develop and maintain effective collaborative relationships with various university and campus wide offices and individuals in order to successfully complete his/her job duties and seek continuous improvement and efficiency.
The Office of the Registrar provides key campus services including but not limited to course registration, degree and enrollment verification, transcript processing, records maintenance, grading, course maintenance, course scheduling, classroom maintenance, VA certification, NCAA certification, residency certification, degree audit, catalog maintenance, and provides support for Summer/Winter Sessions. The Senior Program Coordinator must thrive and excel in this fast-paced, service-oriented environment, and enjoy interacting with students and faculty as well as the staff in the offices that support them. This individual must demonstrate great attention-to-detail, accuracy, excellent project coordination abilities, and possess the technical skills required to perform his/her job duties. The Senior Program Coordinator must have excellent communication skills, be able to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities, seek continuous improvement through innovation and creativity, and be committed to service excellence.

The following qualities, characteristics, and experiences are strongly preferred:Experience working with a Degree Audit system (e.g., Degree Navigator, DARS, Degree Works) within an ERP (student information system) platform such as PeopleSoft or Banner
Experience working with a catalog management system
Familiarity with academic policy, curriculum development, and degree certification
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
Significant experience in a fast-paced, customer service focused environment.
Experience in one or more query languages (e.g., SQL, Access, Oracle)
Master’s degree preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
This individual will have significant demonstrated experience working with student information systems, and preferably, with degree audit systems. Demonstrated experience in successfully developing, implementing, and managing programs and processes is required. A commitment to service excellence and process improvement is also required. Successful candidates will demonstrate the following skills and experiences: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to seek innovative and creative solutions to problems
