The Residential Learning Coordinator (RLC) is a dynamic position responsible for coordinating all building and engagements aspects of a residential community; they create a student community oriented towards the academic and social development of residents through advancing the department’s curriculum; responsible for developing a staff and community assessment plan that focuses on student learning, engagement and support, facilitated by paraprofessional staff that are hired, trained, supervised and evaluated by the Residential Learning Coordinator (RLC); adjudicate student conduct hearings, perform timely administrative duties congruent with position responsibilities, maintain community standards, occupancy management, and a safe and secure environment. Other duties as assigned.
Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel or related field conferred by time of appointment to position.
The successful candidate should also demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse student body and foster sensitivity toward diversity issues in the University community.
Some full-time work experience in residence life or operations; staff supervision experience; knowledge of, or experience with, curricular models or living-learning communities; experience with training and teaching;
