Job Summary The Anti-Money-Laundering Operations (AML Ops) Team performs AML Know Your Client/Client Due Diligence (KYC/CDD) for Global Banking and Markets Clients of Bank of America Merrill Lynch and is responsible for ensuring that Bank of America meets both the regulatory and internal AML/KYC requirements. The team covers new client onboarding, expansion, refresh (periodic review) as its core activities. Additionally the team also covers internal/external audits, remediation of AML KYC/CDD of bank clients. The team covers 3 regions with multiple jurisdictions. Reviewing accuracy of documentation, screening, obtaining approvals from Compliance and Business are some of the high level activities involved in the process. The Team has a vacancy for an individual with a proven track record of problem solving, implementing change, and maintaining processing standards of excellence in a fast paced regulatory environment.
Contribute to New process / Change in process design (document as-is, to-be flows)
Execute & monitor process changes & controls
Design, develop and roll out new process / changes to process training
Assess process performance (pre/post execution of changes)
Review process performance with Operations Managers, Team Leaders and Front Line Operations employees
Act as escalation point for issues and concerns relating to processes/system functionality
Organize regular monthly on the ground training sessions (back to basics/refresher/deep dive)
Review QA/QC results and address any training deficiencies noted
Develop new joiner training program
Participate in User Acceptance Training (UAT) for system changes
Act as primary in region face-off with GFCC (consolidate themes, issues, necessary clarification) and ensure they are addressed
Contribute to the design of KRIs and KPIs
Provide on-the-ground subject matter expertise
Day to day ongoing coaching delivery
Experience in similar role (preferred)
Control focused mindset and good understanding of regulatory and reputational risks - (knowledge of Asia AML requirements a plus)
Excellent communications skills and ability to present to an audience.
Ability to work under pressure in a team environment.
Ability to liaise with all levels of the firm and people with different experiences and backgrounds.
