The Master of Arts in Leadership program at Trinity Western University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position beginning August 16, 2016. Reporting to the Dean, the successful candidate will provide leadership to the Healthcare Stream of the MA in Leadership Program and will be required to teach five graduate courses annually in these streams.
Successful candidates will hold an earned doctorate (preferred), have a proven track record of scholarship and research along with five years of teaching and academic administrative experience. Candidates must possess the ability to meet criteria for tenure and promotion within the program at the Assistant professor level or above.
As the coordinator for the Healthcare Stream, your responsibilities will include giving leadership to student recruitment; academic, curricular and admissions systems; policy development and adherence within the Stream; and representation and advocacy for the unique interests and needs of the Stream with various internal and external committees, taskforces or strategic groups. Additionally, you will function as a member of the MA Leadership Administrative Team.
- A Doctorate (or ABD) or comparable degree(s) from an accredited university;
- At least 5 years of experience and demonstrated effectiveness in leading in a healthcare context;
- Teaching experience in healthcare leadership preferably at the graduate level;
- A record of scholarship and research in leadership
- Experience and demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively in culturally and ethnically diverse communities as well as to develop support structures for diverse graduate learners.
