The GW Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) has a fantastic career opportunity for an experienced Practice Group Administrator who possesses exceptional relationship and practice management skills. The MFA is looking for a Practice Group Administrator with Primary Care experience who will support its affiliate relationship with Adventist Medical Group (AMG). The selected PGA will work to leverage the inherent synergies that exist between these two healthcare leaders in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area. The PGA will work with key executives at the MFA and AMG to design and execute a comprehensive strategy to identify and drive operational and financial efficiencies across multiple specialty disciplines and numerous community practice sites. The PGA will work directly with a staff of 110 as well as 47 providers, and they will have a reporting relationship to the Chief Operating Officer of the GW Medical Faculty Associates .
About this Career Opportunity The Practice Group Administrator is responsible for developing and monitoring budgets, oversight of administrative functions, and leading the operations for each of the practice sites. In addition, the responsibility includes oversight of front end revenue cycle functions (charge capture, coding, registration, etc.) The PGA helps to identify and enhance revenue opportunities and assist in addressing regulatory issues that impact the department. This position requires the demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, effective time management skills, and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, physicians, and executive leadership. Collaborates with colleagues on initiatives to drive improvements and efficiencies with an eye on the impact to the organization overall. Strong leadership and financial skills are required.
Essential Experience: • Experience in health care administration, fiscal management systems and techniques. • Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize tasks and interact well with a diverse faculty and staff, as well as internal and external clients. • Must possess good interpersonal, organizational and communications skills, and proficiency with financial programs (Excel, spreadsheets), in addition to Microsoft Word and Access. • Effective leadership skills to identify talent and mentor and coach staff. • Must have strong attention to detail and possess good time management skills. • Must demonstrate effective change management skills to ensure effective patient care and safety as well as improve practice performance. Understand and effectively manage expectations. • Ability to foster teamwork. Who We're Looking For: We are looking for a team player with experience in Primary Care.
