POSITION: Head Varsity Coach – Women’s Volleyball 12 Month athletic service basis, 100% Academic Professional Appointment
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for planning, development and administration of all phases of the Women’s Volleyball program
RESPONSIBILITIES: Head Coach will be responsible for the following:
• The recruitment and development of qualified student-athletes. • Preparation and administration of the budget, which includes travel, supplies and equipment, recruitment and selection of athletic scholarship recipients. • Establishing the program’s performance goals. • Promotion and support of academic success and graduation of student-athletes. • Organization, planning and conduct of safe team training, practice and conditioning activities. • Provision of mentoring to student-athletes to foster a positive team environment as well as personal and social growth amongst team members. • Participation in fund-raising, public relations, promotions and marketing opportunities necessary for the success of the program. • Selection of additional coaching personnel and staff development. • Development of a competitive schedule reflective of a program of this stature. • Working compatibly and cooperatively with the staff and personnel in the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics. • Represent University at national, state, and local professional organization events. • Maintain knowledge of, and compliance with, specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference and institutional rules that relate to this position is required. • Adherence to the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics Coaches Code of Conduct.
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Starting Date: As soon as possible following completion of search.
