Job Purpose The Division of Innovation and applied Research at Towson University is accepting applications for a Coordinator Entrepreneurship. This position will coordinate the daily operations of the TU Incubator and foster an environment that promotes innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship to advance programmatic outcomes; deliver entrepreneurship and innovative activities by coordinating programs and resources relevant to both existing resident startup teams as well as entering emerging entrepreneurs and innovators; organize and assist the Assistant Director and Director, Entrepreneurship with the development of signature Incubator programs and events; support general and program-orientated stakeholder engagement and TU Incubator marketing, communication, mentorship, and other community-building activities related to Entrepreneurship.
Description Handle initial membership inquiries, follow-up with prospects, arrange Advisory Board review sessions for potential new members. coordinate the on-boarding of new members, and handle administrative requests from member companies.
Handle inquiries from potential new mentors, coordinate on-boarding of new mentors, arrange mentor sessions between mentors and member companies, maintain documentation of mentor activities. Provide support for incubator events and workshops, working closely with the Office of Partnerships and Outreach on marketing efforts. Maintain the membership database and input new members, contacts, inquiries into Salesforce. Coordinate recruitment and inquiries from students, arrange on-boarding and access for new interns, arrange bi-weekly intern review meeting with Assistant Director, maintain internship records. Coordinate Advisory Board meeting, support Student Launch Pad activities, help with Edtech industry research
Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years experience in administrative staff work; experience with event coordination; strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work with limited supervision; and the ability to independently coordinate a variety of projects while ensuring appropriate tracking, quality control, and follow-up necessary to meet multiple deadlines. Experience working with entrepreneurs or in a business incubator is preferred. Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience. A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.
Salary and Benefits $17.35/hour and an annually renewable contract with subsidized benefits. Contractual employees scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage. The position is contingent on funds being available at time of hire.
