We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as Registered Nurse in our PACU. To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing with current NYS RN License, PALS, ACLS, BLS. The position requires a patient, empathetic, caring nurse with a strong focus on clinical and patient satisfaction; A minimum of two years of recent Post Anesthesia Care or Intensive Care experience in an acute care settling; Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills with an emphasis on patient satisfaction is expected.
The PACU is a comprehensive, high acuity, specialty area that provides acute and critical nursing care for patients immediately following surgery. The successful Registered Professional Nurse carries out patient care responsibilities with emphasis on decision-making related to the steps in the nursing process to include assessment, diagnosis, and identification of expected outcomes, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides competent, safe and compassionate care based on established NYULMC Patient Care and Nursing Standards.
