Four-year degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience
Ten (10) years executive level administrative or equivalent experience. General accounting/finance knowledge with experience using sophisticated accounting software. Must have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. High degree of computer proficiency with Excel, Word and Power Point. Project management skills preferred
Regular contact with community members, students, state/local government officials, and high-level representatives of other organizations. Extensive in-person contact with faculty and staff. Highest level of professionalism in all contacts is essential.
Incumbent has authority to make decisions and recommendations within the scope of the position's responsibility. Work is in final form before being reviewed by the Vice President; substantial work will be completed without direct review by supervisor. Works independently with minimal supervision in areas of responsibility; establishes daily priorities and scheduling of work. May act in accordance with defined policies and procedures in the absence of the Vice President of Finance.
Analysis, independent judgment and self-initiative are required to handle the multiple responsibilities and varied duties. Ability to analyze large volumes of information, develop solutions and make recommendations for implementation. Position requires careful attention to detail and numerical aptitude. Quick and accurate responses needed frequently in high-pressure situations. Ability to develop and run projects from inception to completion.
Highly accountable for the accurate preparation of Administrative reports is essential to the Administrative stability and quality reputation of the College. Must be able to handle highly sensitive information, keeping it in the strictest of confidence.
Private office that must be open and accessible to College staff and faculty. Nature of responsibilities dictates work to be subject to interruptions and numerous distractions. Office hours may vary depending on the assignment to be completed. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
