Serve as the principal for both our High School and Middle School (Major new middle school program launching Jan 2017)
Oversee the curricular alignment across disciplines and grade levels
Work closely with Director of Development and lead instructional person (s) throughout the course development cycles
Periodically review course offerings to ascertain that Mizzou K12 is meeting the needs of current and future students.
Personnel, Development and Support
Leading a large distributed instructional team of teacher leaders and teaching assistants
Spearheading staffing and personnel decisions related to instructional faculty
Implementing and facilitating professional development sessions for instructional faculty, teacher assistants, and partner educators
Leading the iterative process of reorganizing and refining the instructional model to promote student achievement and support, teacher leadership, and scalable educational solutions
Leading accreditation processes with AdvancED ensuring that we are meeting our self-established goals over the next 3-5 years.
Addressing student discipline and academic dishonestly issues as they arise and providing ongoing guidance to teacher leaders on how to handle these issues while maintaining school values
Ensuring compliance with IEP and 504 accommodations and modifications and educating stakeholders on equity and access issues for student learning
Overseeing the teacher support, development, and evaluation processes

Active partner in the MK12 Administrative Team
Helping think through ways to integrate curriculum and development work into teacher leadership positions
Collaborating with the business department to create scalable solutions, instructional models, and stakeholder presentations
Regular collaboration with student support services on process and communication
Chief storyteller for Mizzou K-12
External: running and growing MK12's social media presence, creative multimedia projects, working with university communications and local media on releases and stories, maintaining blogs on district achievements
Internal: running staff meetings, regular updates on school projects and staff/student/faculty achievements to internal stakeholders, creating newsletters and interweb announcements

Serving on or leading various committees within the school, College of Education, and broader university community as appropriate.
Representing the Mizzou K-12 and the College of Education at local, state, national and international events which will require periods of international travel as appropriate.
Presenting on our curriculum, instruction, and educational best practices to teachers, coordinators, and scholars through guest teaching/lecturing.
