Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Population Science department at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. The Program Coordinator plans and coordinates the conduct of highly specialized and technical research for the population studies research group. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Develops work plans, coordinates activities, and communicates to members of the study team regarding study activation and accrual.
Prepares protocols and communication updates to co-investigators regarding progress reports, administrative, regulatory and study accrual/progress updates for all assigned studies.
Works collaboratively with the study team and survey development, and will help the research team to finalize the survey measures.
Recruits participants for Phase I of the project (Data collection of providers and patients) and Phase II (intervention development) and will conduct the acceptability and usability testing.
Assists with progress reports, monitoring of subcontracts, preparation of conference presentations and journal manuscripts.
Home Location Campus: Downtown New Brunswick
Master's Degree in a related research and/or counseling experience preferred.
Strong interest in health disparities and community health research preferred.
Administrative experience working in a grant funded, academic medical setting strongly preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and SPSS programming.
Must have valid driver's license and possesses own vehicle or alternative means of transportation from one campus to another; specifically between Newark and New Brunswick campuses 2-3 days per week.
