The Meeting Planner manages the hotel contracting, housing and registration processes for all AVMA meetings and our premier event - the AVMA Annual Convention. This key position works collaboratively with staff, volunteer planning teams and outside vendors to deliver exceptional services to attendees, exhibitors, volunteers and staff; manages onsite meeting registration staff, ambassador involvement, and shuttle services; and functions as primary liaison with the housing company and coordinates the logistics related to housing for the AVMA Convention and other meetings. They also manage AVMA’s preferred travel management agency and negotiate airline contracts.
