The nation’s leading advocacy organization for children’s health care seeks a superb communicator with excellent managerial, negotiation and analytical skills to join the Department of Member Engagement and Marketing and Sales to develop and direct implementation of business plans and sales strategies for AAP print and digital publications and programs to meet and exceed annual budget projections; develop and monitor annual budget projections to meet and exceed financial goals; and identify, implement, and evaluate opportunities for revenue growth and business development.
Some responsibilities include:
Work organization wide in the development and sales of products and programs.
Direct the development of business and sales plans and negotiate distribution and licensing agreements.
Evaluate and initiate new sales programs.
Direct the implementation of sales plans for publications and program through all channels including E-commerce, exhibits, special sales, custom publishing and licensing.
Develop and oversee implementation of E-commerce strategy.
Qualified candidates will possess:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing required (MBA or other related Master’s degree preferred).
7-10 years progressive experience in product and marketing management required, including business development, budget forecasting, and/or sales, preferably within medical and/or consumer publishing.
Supervisory experience required.
Experience with NetForum and/or Sales Force a plus.
Travel and weekend work required.
