The Coordinator will assist with review of documentation, the coordination and provision of reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities with the primary focus of working with our on-line programs, and maintain files on students that access these services. The Coordinator will work with students on a 1:1 to provide support and advocacy on issues related to disability in higher education and will perform other tasks as assigned by the Director.Coordination of Accommodations: Meet with students that are registered with the office one on one and review semester schedule to complete accommodation letters. Coordinate services for student that are Deaf/Hard of Hearing with outside providers. Work with our on-line providers to ensure information is accessible to students that are Low Vision, Blind. Work with faculty to address questions on accommodation policy and procedure. Documentation/Policy Review: Assist the Director in reviewing documentation in approving students for appropriate accommodations. Work in conjunction with the Director to ensure that disability services policies and procedures are in compliance with federal, state, department, and court statutes.File Maintenance and Data Collection: Oversee the input of appropriate student information into the student database.Miscellaneous: Other duties as assigned by the Director of Disability Services.Qualifications:A master's degree in Education, Psychology, Rehabilitation, counseling, etc. is preferred. Experience may substitute for some of the required education.A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years experience providing accommodations to students with disabilities at a post secondary level.A strong candidate will have solid technology skills.Work hours and location may be flexible under some circumstances. Evening, holiday or weekend work is required. There are consistent evening hours to be available for students in other time zones and periods of high volume/work load at the start and the end of each semester when highest volume of direct student contact takes place.Instructions to Applicants: Please submit a resume and cover letter with your application.
