UW Dining has a great opportunity for a Shift Lead for our Pagliacci Pizza franchises!
Winners of Best Pizza in Seattle over several years, Pagliacci has partnered with the University of Washington to provide the same hand-tossed dough, quality local ingredients and exceptional customer service to the UW campus community, comprised of three locations. Pagliacci serves 10,500 customers each week between all 3 Pagliacci franchises located on the UW main campus.

What you'll be doing:
As a working lead you will assign, instruct and check the work of team members in preparing pizza and related menu items; ensuring they follow instructions accurately and up to Pagliacci standards. You will also act as a positive, professional role model by motivating the team. You must demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills. You will have a set schedule each quarter (10 weeks) in which you will be assigned a mixture of opening, mid-day and closing shifts to ensure you are cross-trained on all functions of the Pagliacci operation. The earliest you would work would be 9 a.m., and the latest you would leave campus is 1:30 a.m., though you will not work opening and closing shifts back to back. You will be working to ensure each customer experience is wonderful through: o Dough management o Pizza topping, tossing, launching, slicing, and line set-up o Salad and dressing preparation o Customer service o Perform quality control assessments, including Slice Quality Rating (SQR), Pie Quality Rating (PQR) and Quality Service Cleanliness (QSC), as well as product audits
Acquire a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment and maintain thereafter
One year of experience that demonstrates success: o Prepping ingredients for food production. o Providing customer service in an a la carte dining environment. o Leading the work of staff in a food service positon. o Possession of a valid Washington State Driver's License and ability to drive University vehicles, for occasional deliveries and/or transportation between units. o Fast food experience is welcome as long as it includes food perpetration and prep cooking work.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except where there are legal requirements such as license/certification/registration.
