The position of Coordinator for Inclusivity Programming and Club Sports is a two-prong position. First, this position is responsible for developing (researching, proposing, implementing and assessing) inclusivity programming. Second, this position is responsible for supporting the Assistant Director of Club Sports in the day-to-day management of our 30+ Club Sports. The primary goal of this position is to coordinate the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center's outreach to Vanderbilt students, faculty, and staff, and the community at large, in an inclusive manner. This position works closely with University partners and First-year programming. Duties and Responsibilities Community & Multicultural programming The ability to use student development theory to create and implement a strategic plan for students to increase overall student-engagement with the Rec Create new innovative recreational programs to enhance student wellbeing Take current programs and identify opportunities to enrich the program's purpose Work in collaboration with the students, faculty and staff, to ensure the center provides a wide-range of culturally relevant programs that offer opportunities for engagement and reflection Collaborate with internal University community leaders, departments, and student organizations to plan, create, and execute outreach activities that both advertise VRWC programs and increase student organizations' uses of the Rec Assemble and advise the student advisory committee, which will aid in developing diverse and inclusive programming efforts The Coordinator will also lead the student advisory committee in expanding the Rec's overall outreach to first-year students, as well as upperclassmen Club Sports Assist in the oversight of the Club Sports program Supervise and assist in the planning and execution of Club Sport home events Monitor club activities including home events and practices Enforce Club Sport program policies and procedures and assist in their annual review Help advise and educate club officers Provide resources to all club athletes Responsible for data input, updating forms, and roster management Assist with Club Sport facility reservations Budgeting Assist with yearly budget preparation for direct areas Monitor expenditures in accordance with the approved budget Meet monthly to review the budget and make projections for fiscal year-end Other Provide data and administer regular assessments of developed programs; maintain detailed records Assist in the production of communications, publications, and outreach material using multiple technologies and social medias Enforce University policies and compliance standards Other duties as assigned
