We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Education Specialist-Clinical Research.
In this role, the successful candidate provides targeted and general training of office staff and the research community on office policy and procedures as well as the clinical research management system.
- Designs, develops, manages, implements and evaluates the training of all NYULMC employees on use of the Clinical Research Management System module
- Coordinates onboarding of new staff and new faculty to the OCR policy and systems
- Plans, organizes, implements and executes clinical research curriculum and training activities
- identifies relevant educational opportunities/offerings and coordinates training with Office of Research Education
- Assesses, recommends and implements training on new processes to advance operational efficiencies and productivity
- Participates in the development and facilitation of approval of OCR Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Implements training on SOPs to address identified compliance issues; provides feedback on trends in clinical research staff performance to Director;
- Other duties as assigned.
To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree plus at least 2 years of experience in conducting clinical research trials. Experience developing and implementing training programs. Experience with developing and implementing training for software. Computer literacy required with knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications desired. Considerable knowledge of good clinical practice guidelines and federal regulations. Action oriented, Functional/technical skills, Interpersonal skills, Organizational skills, Analytical skills, Time management, and Written communications. Respects diversity.
Knowledge of budget, billing compliance and invoicing processes for clinical research studies. Clinical research certification from SoCRA (Society of Clinical Research Associates) or ACRP (Association of Clinical Research Professionals).
