The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine is seeking a full time Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join an affiliated program at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon IL. The successful candidate will be board certified/eligible and will have experience in all aspects of adult cardiothoracic surgery. Interest and ability in general thoracic surgery is considered highly useful. Proficiency in cardiac surgical techniques is also a desired attribute of the successful candidate.
While the primary focus of this position will be clinical thoracic surgery, candidates must have the ability to perform cardiac surgery. The ideal candidate will be an excellent clinician with a strong interest in developing a robust general thoracic surgery and cardiac surgery program in-and-around the Mount Vernon community. The surgeon will be an employee of Good Samaritan Hospital with the opportunity for clinical appointment in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery along with access to the resources of Washington University School of Medicine.

Completion of both an ACGME Internal Medicine residency and Endocrinology Fellowship.
