The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Project Manager. This position is responsible for directing projects for new construction, renovations, and remodels. The Project Manager ensures projects meet campus standards and are consistent with the campus master plan; conducts planning reviews and space studies; develops scopes of work, schedules and budgets for assigned projects; manages the contracts for design consultants and contractors. The Project Manager designs and directs small to medium campus projects; and provides updates to the campus design and construction standards. The incumbent is responsible for understanding applicable codes and incorporating the Campus ADA Transition Plan into project scopes.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent skills in project and budget management; problem solving and analytical; effective decision making; and verbal, written and graphic communication. Additionally, the candidate will have the ability to interpret and develop contractual language regarding scope of work and formalized policies, guidelines, rules and regulations; and prioritize and manage multiple complex commercial design projects. Finally, the ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
