Shorecrest is seeking an accomplished and student-centered Instructor in Spanish who is capable of teaching all levels of Spanish, including AP Spanish. The candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to student learning and development. The ideal candidate will also be enthusiastic about innovative pedagogies, such as discussion-based teaching and Project Based Learning.
A minimum of 5 years teaching experience at the high school level, preferably in an independent school environment.
Bachelor’s degree in subject area required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Native or near-native speaker of Spanish.
Demonstrates a high degree of cultural competency.
Collaborative and engaged member of the faculty who is committed to students and to teacher growth.
Enthusiasm for embracing the independent school model of mentoring, advising and supporting students outside of the classroom.
