We are looking for ahighly motivated, and career-oriented research individual with excellentpublication record, with a PhD in cell biology, neuroscience or a relatedfield, or neuroengineering and with hands-on experience in translational animalmodels. Experience in standard tissue culture, immunobiochemistry,immunocytochemistry, RT-PCR, and small animal surgery is required. Excellentoral and written communication skills and the ability to work independently andin collaboration are necessary. Willingness to learn new techniques isessential.
Cell biology and provensuperior knowledge and expertise, as demonstrated by a solid publicationrecord, in two or more of these areas are desirable: a) In vivoelectrophysiology, b) translational animal models, c) basic experimental ortranslational neuroscience research interests in ischemia brain injury,peripheral nerve injury, bone regeneration or, d) stem cell biology, e)neurobehavioral testing; f) therapeutic hypothermia, or g) signal processing orbrain imaging (MRI or PET). A successful candidate will possessinterdisciplinary skills and hands-on experience in conducting cellular andanimal studies based on a detailed understanding of neuroscience of relateddisease and repair. The postdoctoral researcher will assist in planningexperiments, methods development, and will conduct productive research. Strongtechnical skills and capabilities to do independent research would be mostdesirable.
