The Assistant Registrar, Records Manager under the direction of the University Registrar is responsible for coordinating the overall delivery of enrollment and records services for the Office of the Registrar (OR).
The Assistant Registrar analyzes service requirements and coordinates the development and delivery of appropriate information and services, facilitates testing, documentation and training, and articulates new requirements and functionality due to system, policy or procedural changes or efficiency improvements.
The Assistant Registrar is a member of the OR leadership team, and serves as lead for customer service. In this role, the incumbent maintains knowledge of campus policies and procedures, as well as best practices, and works collaboratively across campus to maximize the effectiveness of services provided to students, faculty and staff.
The Assistant Registrar upholds UCSC's Principles of Community and the UC Standards of Ethical Conduct.
Excellent analytical skills sufficient to analyze and interpret written materials and make accurate and consistent interpretations.
Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment in the application of complex guidelines and regulations.
Data, information and computer literacy with demonstrated knowledge and experience using standard computing tools including Microsoft Office and Google applications, on-line databases, email, and web-based research tools and applications.
General knowledge of practices for creating and delivering reports from large relational database management systems.
Proven ability to work independently and cooperatively as a member of a team, and to coordinate efforts and collaborate with a variety of individuals.
