Reporting to the Director, Global Treasury Operations, the Manager, Global Treasury Operations is responsible for performing various global cash management activities within the Treasurer's office. The role is primarily focused on the calculation and reconciliation of the University's daily cash position, execution of daily domestic and foreign wire transfers, management of the University's banking systems' user access and security, and serving as a first point of contact for queries to the Global Treasury Operations team. The Manager works with minimal daily supervision and serves as the lead in cash management training for new members to the Global Treasury Operations team.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
1.Execute daily cash management functions to determine daily cash position, reconcile prior day bank activity
2.Manage cash and banking activities in the Treasury Management System (TMS), including domestic and international bank data integration and GL cash posting rules
3.Work with Associate Director to forecast the University's short term cash position and execute cash rebalancing transactions
4.Interface with the Accounts Payable and Cash Accounting team to resolve wire transfer and cash posting issues and leverage TMS GL posting rules
5.Manage day to day relationship with FX processor and banks to troubleshoot and solve inquiries
6.Provide operational backup to the Assistant Director, PCI Compliance and Merchant Account Processing
7.Provide backup to Associate Director, Global Treasury Operations and Analysis to update and maintain Cash Forecasting Model.
8.Serve as system administrator for Treasury and bank systems
9.Work with brokers and internal departments to facilitate the non-systematic sales of gifts of securities.
10.Deposit miscellaneous domestic and foreign checks.
11.Coordinate issuance of certified checks as requested by Accounts Payable.
12.Support Associate Treasurer, Global Treasury Operations and other senior members of the Finance Division on ad hoc cash management requests and special projects.
13.Recommend and implement process improvements and update process documentation as necessary.
14.Train staff on new processing as required.
15.Perform other related duties as assigned.
General Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (preferably in Economics, Finance or Accounting) or the equivalent, with at least three years' experience in finance, accounting or treasury-related field required.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: Must have high level of proficiency working in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and be comfortable working with databases. Must be detail-oriented with demonstrated strong problem-solving and financial skills. Must be a self-starter and capable of working independently. Must be able to demonstrate excellent organizational, analytical, critical thinking, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. In addition, the successful candidate must be able to work well with all levels of employees, be flexible in nature, be willing to engage in difficult assignments, be self-motivated to learn new concepts and practices, be self-disciplined and reliable, have sound judgment with an open and collaborative style. Must have a passion for excellent customer service and a commitment to exceptional quality.
Preferred Qualifications: CTP certification strongly preferred; if no CTP, must obtain within the first 18 months in the position. Knowledge of and experience working with financial systems, including banks and Treasury vendor systems, especially a Treasury Management System strongly preferred. GL accounting background desirable.
