A key member of the Senior Executive team, the CMO is engaged in developing, executing and analyzing the overall business strategy and direction of the organization. In addition, this position leads the clinical vision for the organization and provides clinical direction and accountability. The position provides medical oversight, expertise and leadership to ensure the delivery of affordable, quality healthcare services. Responsibilities also include the strategy, development and implementation of innovative clinical programs with a particular emphasis on population health and include collaboration with strategic business partners. The CMO is also critical in the recruitment and retention of providers and providing leadership development for our clinical staff.
Act as provider liaison to the Executive Board regarding all medical oversight issues, value based care, provider quality management and physician issues
Serve as chair of the Leadership Council
Partner with leadership to expand upon population health measures to increase risk-based revenue
Partner with leadership to develop care models that promote a patient-centered delivery system, including quality initiatives and population-health focused activities
Maintain approximately one day of clinical practice per week, ideally rotating amongst branch offices.
Act as liaison with other medical organizations to accomplish utilization and quality management goals
Engage with insurance contracting as it relates to provision of patient care
Serve as key partner in provider recruitment and retention processes
Assist in design of provider schedules for optimal access
Oversee Provider Mentor Program
Work closely with CEO on strategic projects
Represent the Clinic as Medical Risk Manager in professional liability legal actions
Appoint Branch Medical Directors and Department Chairs
Lead Peer Review processes
Engage in regular speaking opportunities to internal and external audiences
Participate in various committees, including Joint Operations Committee
The CMO will report to the Executive Board.
Unrestricted Oregon Medical License

Prior Medical Leadership Experience (preferred)
