REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree; coding or RHIT credential; excellent communication skills; experience with technology common in medical/clinical practice and teaching; experience in clinical documentation improvement, healthcare data analysis, or revenue cycle management; knowledge of computer applications commonly used in the field and ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATONS: Certification as a RHIA or RHIT Master's Degree; experience with electronic health records, health informatics, healthcare privacy and security, HIM and/or revenue cycle administrative/management experience; curriculum development skills; prior teaching experience, preferably in a community college setting; knowledgeable in educational methodologies, and accreditation and certification procedures; demonstrated evidence of cooperation and collaboration with staff, administrators and colleagues; experience in a variety of healthcare settings.
POSITION STATUS: Full-time, tenure track, MCCC/MTA unit position with benefits. This position is subject to the 2017 budget appropriation.
SALARY: Minimum salary $44,874.00 to $92,555.00 - actual salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience and consistent with the MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
