The Associate Application Programming Interface (API) Developer is part of the Administrative Technology Systems team. In this role the developer will participate with the development, delivery, and ongoing support of API's and data integrations across Enterprise Application teams and product owners.
The key responsibilities for this position include the following:
Assist with the collaboration with product owners, business analysts, developers, and the University Data Services (UDS) project team to identify, develop, document, and deliver API's
Build, test, and deploy API's using appropriate technology for the documented requirements
Build a reusable data model for a number of separate application instances used by various business units around the university
Prototype concepts to assist with feasibility analysis
Troubleshoot production issues
Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation
Adhere to Harvard's High Risk Confidential Information (HRCI) practices and Policy on Access to Electronic Information both within applications and in everyday work
