Bullis School, a co-educational, independent day school in Potomac, Maryland, seeks enthusiastic and dedicated candidates for a second grade teaching position beginning August 21, 2017. This position involves teaching language arts, mathematics, and social studies to a homeroom group of approximately 12 diverse students. They understand early childhood development, enjoy developing innovative curriculum, and successfully integrate technology in their classrooms.
Primary responsibilities include:
Full-time homeroom teaching
Extra duties including carpool, recess, lunch room and hallway monitoring
Attending department, division, and faculty meetings
Collaborating with grade-level team and interdisciplinary teams
A bachelor’s degree in early childhood/elementary education is required with a master’s degree preferred. Teaching experience in either public or private schools is required.
Well-qualified applicants will have experience with:
Math in Focus/Singapore Math
Readers and Writers Workshop
Proficiency in technology and iPad integration throughout curriculum
