SLP 642 - Clinical Practice Adults/Children (Summer 2017)

The Department of Speech-Language Pathology at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Summer 2017 to teach SLP 642 Clinical Practice: Adults/Children. The position is as a Clinical Supervisor for graduate students in their clinical training. We offer a number of child and adult clinics. The primary responsibility of the lecturer is to run a communication clinic caseload for one of these clinics by providing direct supervision of graduate student clinicians. The clinic runs daily throughout the second 5 weeks of summer session; July 10th – August 11th 2017. The candidate should have experience in supervising graduate students in clinical practice in speech-language pathology.
Minimum qualifications for the position include: a master's degree in speech language pathology (or related field), a speech-language pathology state license, certification by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (CCC), and 3 years of clinical experience.
Preferred qualifications for the position include: a Ph.D. or equivalent and four or more years of clinical experience. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching.
