Full-Time/Part-Time: Full Time
Serve as the lead professional for the College's integrated enterprise information and data systems application area. Act as the liaison between the end users (i.e., Finance, Financial Aid, Human Resources & Payroll, and Students) and the technical teams. Interface with business unit leaders. Also act as the liaison for Information Technology to the College's business and academic departments, end users and users groups. Plan, develop and maintain the systems' documentation and interfaces with these systems.
Plan, control, and coordinate the access and updates to the College's business systems.
Design, plan, and implement automated processes that ensure data integrity and accuracy. Develops and evaluates test plans for new system implementations and upgrades. Regularly updates the system to comply with federal and state mandated guidelines.
Confer with external system vendors, functional consultants, enterprise solution providers, internal and external user groups, work teams and support staff to improve business processes and develop raining efforts to ensure effective and efficient use of application systems.
Provide specialized systems expertise to generate reports, spreadsheets and statistical summaries and records. Ensures compliance with, and makes recommendations for, College's Business systems operating guidelines.
Review, evaluate, coordinate, test and approve installation of vendor supplied application system upgrades and patches.
Configure programs and updates application portal pages, schedules and runs production jobs to ensure date and information is available for making informed decisions.
Serve on technology committees/advisory group that monitor system updates and project status reports.
Works with end-user departments to develop requirements and specifications for changes to application systems.
Provide leadership and management of approved changes to application systems.
Bachelor's degree and over five years progressively responsible relevant experience with enterprise in the information systems and a minimum of five years of experience as an Ellucian Banner systems analyst in a production environment is required. Maybe be on call during non-working hours. Regular travel within the district with occasional travel to outside locations.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong background working with enterprise systems.
Experience with Business Intelligence Tools (i.e. Crystal Reports, Hyperion, Cognos, ARGOs).
Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise.
Knowledge of data integrity methods and techniques.
Knowledge of systems security protocol, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge of contractual procedures and documentation.
Ability to implement and troubleshoot programming changes and modifications.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Familiarity with Oracle & SQL database.
