We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Contract Analyst.
In this role, the successful candidate The Associate Contract Analyst will assist the Contracts Manager of Payment Reform and the Director of Payment Reform in responding to the new payment reforms that might stem from Federal legislation or other market forces. The position will be responsible for organizing and reviewing electronic claims data sets from various treatment settings, and analyzing clinical, financial, and utilization data. Through data analytics, the position will assist with the completion of payment reform demonstration projects and grants.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Assists with creating presentations for meetings.
- Assists with the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) demonstration projects, commercial ACO shared savings arrangements, and grant applications.
- Supports the reporting and monitoring of operational improvement programs..
- Uses EPSI reporting capability of the Medical Center decision support system and other data sources to create financial reports for individual demonstration project and contracts.
- Uses data mining and statistical tool techniques to quantify the costs and payments associated with clinical episodes of care.
- Cleans and fuses internal hospital and payor claims data.
- Organizes and reviews data sets across the organization to assist in developing and implementing payment reform strategy.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's Core Values and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree in Business Administraion or relevant discipline and 1-2 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency using relational databases, database concepts and software applications; must have MS Access and Excel knowledge. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Knowledge of healthcare terms and reimbursement methodologies. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Familiarity with Crystal reporting or EPSi cost accounting system.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
