The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) manages a caseload of neonates with consultation, collaboration, and general supervision from a physician. The NNP exercises independent judgment in assessment, diagnosis, initiation of delegated medical procedure, and evaluation, consistent with state nurse practice laws, standards of Advanced Practice Law, institutional guidelines, and the NNP’s education and experience. In addition, the NNP is involved in education consultation and research. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission, core and SHARE values.
This position has a 24 hour variable shift expectation.
Graduate of accredited NNP Program
Work Experience Requirements
Minimum 1-year experience in NICU preferred
Current Colorado RN license
Registered with the Colorado Advance Practice Registry
Prescriptive Authority preferred
National NNP certification
BLS through American Heart Association
Light work - (Exert up to 20lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 10lbs frequently)
Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
